| David1988 02/16/22 7:05:14 PM #10: | Machete posted... this, between covid itself, trump's response to it being literally the worst possible response imaginable and his bullshit habit of calling it "the china virus because it came from china" what Im curious about is whether the spike in hate crimes is proportional across other metropolitan cities or if NYC is the epicenter of this new trend, as a New Yorker its something I want to know more about, if NYC is indeed isolated in having such a spike then why? While Trump obviously didnt help matters and even made the situation worse, if cities like NYC had existing meaningful infrastructure that assists those in poverty or with mental health issues, then a pandemic wouldnt be enough to break the system to a point where youre seeing statistical absurdities in crime rates. --- "Let's be honest...I'm everybody's type.
