Cyberse Synchron says it can prevent destruction by "battle or card effect", but TUCoD's effect of destroying monsters it battles is not technically being destroyed BY battle, so it wouldn't be able to trigger the first effect on that. It would have to be blocked by the second effect, which might not be able to be triggered during the damage step. No Synchron absolutely can activate during the damage step because both protections are part of the same effect who use the same timing. UCOD also destroys after damage calculation takes place, so its not even the usual spellspeed rule at play here.
