I finished Honey and Clover, and it was good. Soft spoilers The show has a lot of aspects are very grounded, and it really reflects how life is so bittersweet and often unsatisfying without illusions. I'm guessing why some people can dislike how it wraps up; I'd say we're too coddled and used to having endings that always aim for satisfaction. The ending hits home for me in a roundabout way. Pretty much of the memories of the past decade of my life, I would recall the unsatisfying ones that are seated with regret, despite the existence of the fond memories. They amount to little, but all ultimately help shape who I am, for better or worse.
All in all, it's quite unique of a show, I'm glad I watched it.
