That's what that huge "Unite the Right" thing was about, and between the Muslim ban and the wall against Mexico it's pretty easy to see that they're gunning for racial purity. Which is the old backdoor, "If you vote for Trump, you're a white nationalist," and one of the big reasons why Trump finally won. If you keep blowing your dog whistle or just flat-out crying wolf on every policy you disagree with to reframe it as racist, eventually you lose whatever power the term had because people stop taking it seriously and outright reject your nonsense.
