The more relaxed "castle doctrine" only applies to people breaking into your home, where the act of breaking into your house is seen as sufficient evidence that they intend to do you harm. If someone wanders across your land for some reason, that doesn't count.


that much is true on the land part, they have to be physically in your house .what I find stupid though is I can't attack a guy for running off with say an expensive but also sentimental item that can't simply be replaced. I honestly feel people should be allowed to protect their property, i'm sorry I don't have sympathy for thieves.
