If women are equal why is it fine for men to fight each other but a man hitting a woman is outrageous?
Unless it's an organized fight, a man fighting a man is also called assault. What a dumb post.
Yea but they both get charged and it's pretty socially acceptable. It's certainly not outrageous even when one man is much larger/stronger than the other.
Man has been fighting man for an eternity. If man was beating up a puppy, people would have an issue with it also. It still doesn't go unpunished, but it's so much more common that society is more desensitized.
Growing up, my dad taught me to never hit a woman under any circumstance. He also taught me to stand up for myself if another male was bullying me. There is a definitive divide. Women are to be respected, period. It's part of the long foundations of humanity.
No disagreements there. I just find it funny how it's fine to have social standards and expectations for men but women are being "oppressed" if they're ever expected to act a certain way.
They want to be equals, but in conditions like this, want to be treated otherwise. One of the many, many contradictions of what makes us stupidly human. I stopped trying to figure it out. ---
