But watching the portrayal of rape and violence is great television.
Why can't we admit we crave watching violence? We eat these shows up constantly, obviously it's something we really take pleasure in watching, whether it's fake or not.
Speak for yourself. It is an American thing. Americans love violence and guns, but they lose their shit if they see a boob on TV.
I don't. I wish the world would be content to walk around fully naked. Get some tats if you want to accessorize. I just honestly don't care about nudity. We all know what dicks and boobs and vaginas are and what they look like. But still we feel this need to hide them and it's a crime to present yourself as you were naturally brought into this world.
It is so backwards (gotta love christianity). Violence should be shunned, and sexuality should be celebrated.
But that's a point for another day.
Fact is violent video games and TV shows sell WORLDWIDE, not just in America. Just wish we could all be honest with ourselves. Yes I like watching sex and violence. And everyone else seems to as well considering the ratings of certain shows. But it always has to be an unspoken thing.
Like we don't want to commit it, but we like having it as a focal point of our stories. And we have for centuries, it's not just a modern thing. ---
