The gameplay is great, but as per the story, you never use that great combat on any interesting enemies, it's all rehashed enemies from the first game, not even palette swapped, new humanoid goons or one of the few new bosses. Not counting the goons, there's like 7 new creature models in the game including the final boss.

The story is asinine and better left tuned out. Completing the game to "perfection" requires having your nose stuck in a guide or multiple playthroughs. You can literally fuck up within the first 2 minutes of gameplay.
