Here's a fun little fact for thyroid diseases when it comes to cats and dogs:

-Hyperthyroidism is usually a cat thing.
-Hypothyroidism is usually a dog thing.


Sorry to hear you're actually experiencing something. A lot of people get hypothyroidism. The biggest clinical sign would be weight so that's why a lot of people look at the weight. Other factors of the endocrine system have a lot of other contributors so it's hard for doctor's minds to go straight to your thyroid gland if your hormones and/or mental state seem imbalanced.
