Does it count as a spoiler if you have no idea what's being spoiled, though? Like can something like "he dies at the end of the movie" count as a spoiler if I don't give any hints as to what movie I'm talking about?

He mentioned what it was spoiling afterward, though.

This is the character I'm talking about. He uses a device to phase through walls, but it malfunctions and he ends up being pulled by Earth's gravity and into the core.

I always assumed that he'd be fine until his device ran out of power and phased him back, at which point he'd merge with liquid or solid objects instantly killing him.
