The only thing that annoys me in that guys review video was that he called Arya's Needle "a very strange sword that probably wouldn't have been around in that period". I don't think he knows that the sword was made specifically for her by a talented blacksmith. There were never any women, especially tiny women like her, that would fight with a sword so of course it wouldn't be seen. Many characters even comment on it throughout the series.

But he acts like it's a flaw in the series, that the writers were too stupid to know this sword didn't belong in this era. That's not the case at all

He was also saying that you won't do any cutting damage with a sword like that, so he didn't understand why Arya kept striking Brienne, and I'm just sitting here thinking," They aren't trying to hurt each other." I mean, it would be a good point in any other fight scene with that sword, but in this one, not so much.

First, while what he says is true, you COULD make a sword that cut of that type, it was just not something that was done (for a variety of reasons), but could be done just for Arya. The sword was made for her, so it could be special.

Second, even if you can't cut, striking with it would still cause damage, more then striking with a bamboo reed would do, and you can do serious damage with one. hits the joints, or weak spots (like the throat for instance), could still seriously harm someone, or slow them down enough for you to stab them.

Finally, third, and most importantly, they were sparing, so it doesn't matter if the sword can cut, the point is to score a hit, which Arya already had done before they finally tied at the end multiple times. If Arya was using a real short sword (with an edge) the cut to the leg at least would have been serious and probably she would have cut off Briennes hand as well. All of that I believe happened before she was kicked/knocked down, so in a real fight Arya would have won before even getting that far.

I also loved her response to "Who taught you to do that"........it was perfect:)

Arya is certainly my favorite character of the series at this point. I just hope she doesn't actually end up with littlefinger.

They were sparring to train. What's the point of training the wrong way with a sword just to score points?
