tbh I'd really be weirded out if a retail worker asked me how I am, that has never happened here. Unless they are some telephone sellers outside shops that kinda try to scam you.


We are required by management to greet customers with "hi how are you, having a good day etc" so I was just doing my job. This customer is just a psycho bitch.


Oh, in Sweden. Guess we dont do that.

I hear it's a thing that identifies Americans.

We have small talk in lines, with cashiers, waiting for buses, it happens all the time. For a lot of us, at least.

This apparently is not a thing that translates well to other countries.
