Topic	I got abused by a customer because I said "hi, how are you"

When you're in a retail position there's about 5% of the population who doesn't believe you are a human being and is willing to unload all their personal baggage on you, because you must be some kind of automaton or something. It's very different from interacting with people on an equal basis. When I worked at a bar and cafe, people would lose their fucking minds because you made their specialty cocktail "wrong", as if it should be part of the job requirement to be a master at mindreading.
