It would probably help more if we actually did a good job teaching our students math. The US has the worst math scores compared to other countries and it's not surprise many tech companies want to bring in employees from other countries who have better math skills.

I blame common core math, what shit that is, or hopefully was.


This has been a problem before common core math.

Clearly something got worse if colleges are resorting to this.


Since No Child Left Behind act states have been lowering the criteria required to pass standardize tests so they can keep getting funding. We've been putting our children to a lower standard and now they struggling to graduate college. This isn't a common core issue. This has been an issue growing in the US for a while now.
