While it's probably where they got the idea, it's worth remembering that they incorporated only the "lizard" half of the word. Granted, physiologically-speaking, a Venusaur would almost certainly be a reptile rather than a dinosaur given its hip joints and the fact it's powered by the sun (a close parallel would be a dimetrodon, whose sail took in the sun's rays to heat up its body). faramir77 posted...
