I wouldn't boycott it, but the idea that the South would still have slavery like 150 years after the war ended is hilariously ignorant and US-centric.

Nearly every other developed country on the planet had abolished slavery before the 1860s. Civil rights improved over time in those countries independent of what was happening in the US. I would have been amazed if the CSA still had slavery even by World War I. Economic sanctions would have crippled their economy. They probably eventually would have rejoined with the US. Canada likely would have taken most of western North America for themselves, given the weakened and threatened USA.
