Many jokes are rooted in the dark and absurd and are used as tools to bring up discussing the topic and how absurd it actually is. Like another funny race joke I've heard is "What's the difference between black people and Batman? Batman can go into a store without Robin". It's just like dead baby jokes. People who say them aren't advocating the killing of babies. Just like I don't get offended when I hear jokes about white people shooting up schools.
