Western Morals are based on JudeoChristian values. You believe what is good and what is bad because Western Society was built around these morals. Many aspects of Religion are vestigal and detrimental in the information era, but without those base morals we would be like a Mad Max movie.
And no, dont feed me some bullshit about 'I would be a good person even if therr was no Religion, Im Athiest and I follow those morals'. No, you would not have the same morals you do now if you werent born and raised in a JudeoChristian society. Even if you and your entire family was Athiest, you were still molded by society and your peers. Western Justice Systems were based off of these values. Without them we would 100% be killing eachother for resources as part of our daily life (and stealing, lying, cheating, etc etc). We are animals.
Man's worst invention is none of the above. It's most likely some sort of gas chamber, torture device or other inhumane thing that was around in the 1500s. Nuke's at least serve as a war deterrence. The world is the most at-peace that it has ever been in human history in 2017. It only seems so terrible now because with the internet (another invention that has some major downsides), we get to instantly know about every bad thing happening around the globe.
Still, out of those 4 i would say the nukes are the worse because they were created simply t destroy, money and religion weren't ---
