One was a completely fabricated lie that served only to rile up one political voting base for future elections. It concerns domestic politics only. The other is an indicator of a larger problem endemic to Western civilization as a whole, caused by one aggressive adversarial country. This problem extends beyond the boundaries of "democrats and republicans"; there is extensive evidence that such actions were taken by this other country; there is extensive evidence that similar actions have been taken in our ally nations; and you are completely wrong for trying to claim that this is nothing more than democrats and republicans being democrats and republicans. Open your eyes - even a Republican-controlled Congress is rallying for harsher sanctions against Russia. It has 0% to do with domestic politics at all. That's because the republicans and democrats are really two arms of the same party. Anything that threatens their establishment is thrown up the wall for the Two Minutes Hate. I'm not saying Trump isn't establishment, but anything that strays or seems like it'll threaten their credibility is attacked to death.
