Yep. Lived with a chef who was probably in the top 3 of his profession in the entire state. If they had michelin stars in Australia, he'd be a Michelin star chef for sure.

And yet, despite his 20+ years working at the top of his profession managing the finest restaurants in town, he was lucky to break $85k, working 90 hour weeks. I can't imagine rising to that level of responsibility and skill and not even breaking 6 figures.
