It wasn't until he himself went to prison that he realized how f*ed up he was and wanted to turn his life around. That and his brother Donnie helping him get into acting turned his life around. That doesn't make up for the things he's done, but at least he's making an attempt to better himself. Not many others can say the same. He is racist douche that gets a pass in life.
