Tony Stark isn't a playboy in this movie at all. They kept the stuff with Pepper pretty vague. The engagement was just a quick announcement since they lost Spider-man as an Avenger.
he's literally just out drinking and having a good time at that yoga retreat or whatever that was while some dudes are out dealing space weapons and tearing up queens.
she flat out fucking kisses him, the fuck you mean it's vague? it was a flat out "she left me" in civil war, now it's like everything is all fine and dandy.
Yoga retreat is being a playboy? He's Tony Stark. When Peter tells him he tips off the FBI about it so they can deal with it. He considers it below his paygrade.
I mean that we don't know the details of what's happened. Their break up was a throwaway line and now they're back together between the two movies. Does this really matter?
Since everyone else did: Wasn't Tony's motivation in the Accords so that he could start working to get Pepper back, or at least that was implied? Her absence feels like it pushes him through the first part of the movie and he sees Cap refusing to sign as an obstacle to getting her back.
Will admit Civil War has been a while for me though. ---
