They'll always be ignored Toomes being in the business for 8 years doesn't mean the weapons were on the same level for all of that time. Even during the movie they're working on new stuff and improving them. Tony Stark isn't a playboy in this movie at all. They kept the stuff with Pepper pretty vague.
