Also gross, it looks like McConnell's not totally shutting down Cruz's garbage amendment.

Im of two minds on it.

This thing is so unpopular that democrats may actually be able to ride it to majorities in 2018 and 2020.

But the content is so horrific

I'm not. Unless it becomes so unpopular the Dems can get a two thirds majority in both houses (which based solely on the Senate map is not going to happen), if this trash fire becomes law the soonest it can possibly be repealed is 2021. Even if the worst effects don't hit until 2019 that's still two years of widespread suffering caused solely by Republican dick waving.

This bill is garbage and it needs to die here and now.

Rather than "Not going to happen because of the map", it's actually literally impossible for Dems to get 2/3 in the senate on it, short of a bunch of seats being vacated for some reason and thus going up anyway. Even if every seat flipped, that's still only 8 seats, so 56.
