Yeah, I don't know, everything tends to balance out in the end, at least in my experience.

I was living in Sask, Canada. I couldn't find a job with my training and my rent was stupid high for a basement suite. Not only that, but besides beef and grains, every food item was imported and expensive as fuck. I told people I was moving to Vancouver and they were like, "But rent is so expensive!". However, I'm here now, have a nicer place at only a slightly higher price, have actual job opportunities, I don't need to have a car, and food prices are dirt cheap by comparison. I mean, there are always going to be extremes and periods of instability, but everything sort of has to achieve a sustainable price-equilibrium at some point, otherwise people wouldn't keep living in that place.
