Damn, I never thought I would see PO be flat out wrong on anything. So what you're saying is, every time I say you should close your account, I'm objectively correct. Erik_P posted... Bridgegate ring a bell? He should be in fucking prison just for that. I never said he was squeaky clean or a saint. I said he was probably the least corrupt governor we've had for 35 years. In other words, we've had a string of successively corrupt governors. Honestly, the only reason McGreevey isn't currently in prison is because about a month before the federal investigation that was supposed to push for his arrest he announced he was gay and stepped down from office, deliberately politicizing his sexuality and making it seem like any attacks on him afterward would be motivated more by prejudice/civil rights persecution (in spite of the fact that half the people in government had known he was gay for years, and that he was using the state police to chauffeur around his boyfriend - who he also appointed state homeland security adviser in spite of having pretty much zero qualifications). There've been active movements at times to impeach like three out of our last seven governors (not counting Christie). Kean's the last governor we had who didn't more or less slink out of office in shame, and he left office in the 1980s. There's a reason why I'm cynical as fuck when it comes to elections. New Jersey's been fucking up at both the state and federal level for almost as long as I've been alive. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ...
