Worse, they disciplined social workers who tried to report it, arrested parents who tried to protect their children, dismissed rapes of 11 and 12 year old girls, threatened to arrest girl who tried to report their situation, etc. For nearly two decades. Because the local Labour government was too cowardly to go after the Pakistani men who did these crimes. They'd rather let little English girls be raped and abused for years than arrest the brown men who are raping them. It was kind of a big deal a few months ago.
