| SeabassDebeste 06/30/17 3:47:58 PM #291: | I think there was more than enough cleverness and just straight-up funny stuff in the episode. Plus, the tropes used aren't inherently bad. It probably helps that I haven't seen The Purge, but the execution is so hilariously silly that I bet I would have loved it regardless. There's also the slightly cleverer subversive stuff, e.g. Morty being the one to get entangled, rather than bad luck/Rick botching it. And the screenplay dude was out of nowhere. --- yet all sailors of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness ...
