I don't know. I like Spider-Man, but the way that they marketed Tony Stark with the movie has created a sort of unwinnable situation - if his trailer scenes make up his entire appearance, then it's going to feel totally cheap because they used Iron Man as a prop to sell this movie. If he's in the movie in a more involved way, then it's going to be The Iron Man And Spider-Man Power Hour and I don't want that. I don't think he belongs in the movie - or at least, not the trailers.

Like RDJ's Iron Man is fun, I like seeing him in movies and regardless of critical or fan reception, Iron Man 3 is rad as fuck. Tony Stark straight-up kills motherfuckers, it's awesome. But when I go to see a Spider-Man movie, I want it to be all Spider-Man, all the time. Have a supporting cast, but don't overdose on spotlight-stealers.

I'm also not a massive comics buff, but I'd rather a fucking weird, bald old man in some weird lycra suit over yet another chrome-heavy suit of power armor. I was hoping for a more gothic feel to The Vulture, but he looks really generic.

I don't know how this will stack up to the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies. It looks watchable, but there's too much MCU chocolate in with the peanut butter.
