I feel like the US might actually be close to those sorts of statistics as well. Especially when certain demographics are brought into play.

The Boomers were a massive demographic bubble, and they're starting to age into the period of life when they'd need those sorts of services, while declining birthrates across multiple demographics in the West would implied a reduced need for actual infant diapers.

It's part of the reason why half the commercials you'll see on TV these days seem aimed at the elderly (the other reason being that large portions of the younger demographics have migrated more to streaming services and the Internet in general).
