They have multiple positions open according to the op, so it just depends on how long they've had the other position open. The one guy leaving and putting them in that situation means they were at their minimum. Probably wasn't that bad if they didn't complain about it until that one guy got arrested though. Got plenty of people who whine about hours where I work.. "Boohoo we don't have enough hours" and when they start getting more "Boohoo I work too much".
