It's actually called .hack//games for the tetralogy, as there's a manga called imoq.
The game play of the first series was clunky. Good luck beating the first dungeon in outbreak if you didn't import a save, they give you awful gear and you can't change it or leave until you clear it or get a game over.
The enhancements this will have (999 chim spheres omg) means you won't get stuck in one room having to max the counter to open a few doors during the bonus dungeon of redemption. That's great news because if not for that, it will take about half as long. Seriously, the carts moved way too slowly and most chim kings would go to waste unless you used the areas that guarantee one appears.
