Not even DDP himself could help him and that saint got Jake Roberts cleaned up. Things like this are painted as things of empathy, and while there is a sliver of truth to that. I think it's much more an excuse to be mad at a guy who is successful. Sure he has willpower issues and mental issues, it would likely be a lot better if he could fix all that, but he hasn't yet. What good does mocking him do? Doesn't really prove anything or accomplish anything. I think mocking him comes from a response to the idea that "everybody in the world totally thinks he's a-ok" no, lots of people who like him might think he's ok or might not.
