Vita was pretending to be a home console and was releasing games that were way more than it could handle and would be very short and non-complex experience. The developmental cycle also seemed to take way longer than its direct competitor who was pumping out games really quickly. They were also seriously forcing the PS3/4 integration, which only made Vita a glorified controller.
