Pushing the idea that this has anything to do with race is yet another reason why Trump won. And, at the time when Obama was pushing EO after EO to bypass congress, literally everybody pointed out that the next president could just undo anything passed by EO.

He had 277 over 8 years, an average of 35 per year.

Obama kept using EOs because the Republicans refused to work with him.

It's weird that you're bitching about Obama's use of EOs yet I don't see a peep from you regarding Trump pushing out EOs like its the end times.

Also, this nonsense that bringing up race is why Trump won is ridiculous. Obama faced the most openly hostile other side that any president has faced in years. Trying to erase history and pretend that Obama never faced racism is just bullshit.

A dozen problems with those statements, but I just feel like highlighting a handful.

1) The claim of number of EOs is a purposeful distortion of the CONTENT of said EOs, which notably included things which would have ordinarily been handled by the legislative process and generally WERE handled by the usual legislative process so they weren't up to the whims of a president.

2) Most of Trump's EOs simply overturn Obama's. Pretending that's the same thing as passing a new one is silly. There's a far greater significance to putting something in place than removing something which, in many cases, shouldn't have been put into place at all.

3) The claim that Obama faced the most hostile other side ever is fucking laughable. How many of Obama's rallies were shut down because of the other side's threats of violence? A grand whopping total of zero. Meanwhile you had militants repeatedly attempt to shut down Trump's. In fact, the ONLY recent president to face real open hostility is Trump especially when you consider a bogus recount based on a lie was performed and that was AFTER the media, politicians, etc, repeatedly assured the public that the voting process was fine and intact.

4) Trump has thus far faced more obstruction -- including from his own party -- than any other president in recent history, keeping in mind that the Freedom Caucus has been largely responsible for torpedoing his efforts within the GOP because they don't feel that anything he does goes far enough. And, of course, if he did decide that the Freedom Caucus was right and decided to go hard-core conservative, he'd just get blocked by the moderate members of his party.
