Even overlooking that the media slants liberal so you'd get stronger coverage anyway, the fact that Obama is black would let them brand it as a hate crime (and, in all likelihood, the person would be arrested -- two people who did something to an Obama effigy WERE arrested, after all, although their charges were later dismissed) which would let the story run for months. Secondly, because Obama was more popular, you wouldn't have nearly as many people defending such a vile act and more groups would be willing to cut all ties with the person. Hell, if the person who did it got shot (and they probably would because, despite Obama's anti-gun rhetoric, a lot of his supporters came from low-income urban areas where apparently it's easier to get a glock than a book or even a bottle of water), hospitals would probably refuse to treat them. Meanwhile because Trump isn't a popular president, if Kathy got a papercut from a hate letter she'd probably be rushed down to a hospital, given the 5-star treatment, and everybody there would sign her cast despite her not even using a cast. Lokarin posted... Like, remember when Ted Nyugent was all like "Kill Obama~!" and everyone cheered? What? Not even close to what happened. He said let's vote to retake the capitol and then mentioned a violent metaphor for everybody in the administration which clearly was in relation to the just-stated voting bit.
