I think it's absolutely sad that some people actually harbor the belief that books are now redundant.

Books immerse you in ways that film or video games cannot.


VR and games can do everything a book can. the writing needs to improve but that's it. it will surpass the immersion of a book in every way.

I'm going to have to disagree.

You're in the character's shoes when reading a novel the entire time. You know their innermost thoughts and assimilate their experiences and worldviews.

Video games? You're playing a game while getting a few cutscenes interspersed here and there, which can only convey so much information.
