Anyway, I decided to power off for the night.

I got to Shibuya and met up with Chiaki. The character interaction in this game... really isn't very good so far. I can tell that this game - or at least this portion of the game - isn't going to rely too heavily on character interaction between your high school buddies and yourself. The demon stuff is really good, though.

I have to say, I'm really liking Nocturne the more I play it. I liked discovering the recruitment system, I like talking to all the spirit balls and demons. I got a spirit ball to give me 850 Macca for defeating Forneus, and a dude in Shibuya came off all tough, then when I confronted him he went "Welcome to the kick-ass deli! Taste our knuckle sandwich!". I love the NPC dialogue so far. I also love how you get into Shibuya and see the starfish demon, and it mentions Forneus being late for a date.

One tiny detail that I love is what happens when the camera gets too close to the protagonist. Usually you disappear so you can get a better look at the surroundings, or you turn into a shadow in some games - in this game, you turn into a shadow, but those glowy blue Tron lines stay on that shadow. Tiny detail, but I genuinely love it.

The camera is workable, but a bit too floaty and janky for me. It's a bit worse than Kingdom Hearts 1, but not by much - I've got my muscle memory down pat, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Right now, I'm in one of the malls in Shibuya. I found the Cathedral place, I'm super hyped to mix some monsters. But I think I'm done with Nocturne for the night.
