Topic	Maybe getting my degree in English was a huge mistake

Most people fail to realize that outside of engineering/nursing/comp sci the purpose of going to college in STEM field is for an eventual move to research at PhD level. If you just get an undergrad biology degree yeah that's not going to get you a lot of jobs. Part of the reason I chose Computer Science. In my field you actually have less job opportunities if you get a Masters or PhD. --- I am a senior software engineer.
