Back in 2002 or so a game called Delta Force: Land Warrior had 32vs32 TDM for awhile until the game started to die and they moved it down to 16vs16. PlanetSide in 2003 had MMO sized worlds with 133vs133vs133 on a single map MAG on the PS3 had 256 players in 2010 with dedicated servers. Literally better than Destiny.
