| MariaTaylor 05/20/17 10:42:55 PM #22: | 1x9 is a great episode because it introduces the mundane bureaucracy of the heroes vs villains world -- loopholes and all. plus we get a taste of how things can actually be boring around the bad guys lair when there's nothing to do, and with brock vs monarch you also see how a lot of this is just for fun and they all sort of... like each other.... to some extent maybe. brock and monarch playing pretend hero vs villain is dramatic and exciting. this is juxtaposed against dean who is in serious medical danger but lands himself in a more mundane plotline. and when it's all resolved everyone just calmly goes back to their positions of being tied up above the river without even putting up a fight. brilliant. --- Do you want me to <Erase> you? http://i.imgur.com/sW4vlID.png ...
