I hear this argument a lot and really what I will always say is... I don't think an attack scheme would have been very good against Bernie. Bernie doesn't really have anything to be attacked on of substance. His record on key issues is extremely good when it comes to what independent voters would have thought.

Hillary's problem is she had a lot of smoke even if no fire, which is unfortunate. Also she didn't know where to campaign, which really fucked her.

Also a lot of times in the primary Hillary supporters accused him of being sexist which is pretty hilarious considering he is the most progressive senator we have.

Also why I tend to like Bernie still is he does a great job of understanding why Trump won. I am not trying to say Bernie is the best of all time or perfect, but even after the election he is one of the few on "the left" to show me he gets why they lost, and I wish more understood that.
