That's an oversimplified and overly broad mantra for an issue that is much more narrow. No one is saying a woman can't get her ears pierced, have her gall bladder removed, or even cut her own foot off. It's her body, it's her choice. This chant makes sense for those issues. Where it falls short is when that choice affects the life of someone else. Umm, the issue of abortions being legal is not the same as piercing an ear. Not everyone who has an abortion is someone who just didnt use protection and dont want a baby. Some people cannot afford it, some people can be put in danger by having a baby, some people arent properly educated and scared. There isnt 1 simple reason for people to have it. The other issue is that even if abortion is illegal women are still going to have them. So now instead of letting women have abortions in safety and legally, you know have thousands of women searching for illegal means to have them which can lead to things like infections, long term consequences, or even death. People cant even agree where life begins. Does it begin at conception? Does it begin when the heart beats? Does it begin when the fetus is fully formed? You're over simplifying a complex issue here. Not everyone who has an abortion is someone who just forgot to use a condom. --- The night brims with defiled scum,and is permeated by their rotten stench. Just think.
