There was one time I had this dream. I was in an octagon shape room that linked to other octagon shaped rooms, and in the dream, every room had some vague features from my house. But everything was dark when I was in any given room, while really brief/weird gray-ish light existed in rooms I wasn't in.

The octagon rooms linked to each other, so I'd constantly be walking around in interconnected and dark rooms, until I started running when I saw this weird, shadowy figure peer from the side of a doorway. Half of its body would come over the doorframe and it'd hold onto it with its hand. Had no eyes, but was clearly looking at me. I kept running from it. Everything turned darker and darker, I heard noises all over the rooms without knowing where it was coming from. Then, I woke up.

There, in the open doorway of my real bedroom that's visible when I wake up, I saw the same figure peering from the side of the doorframe with a vaguely shaped white grin and beady white eyes. It dipped back into the hallway the moment I got out of bed.
