By our standards, they're clearly not kids' shows, so we shouldn't treat them as kids' shows. That doesn't change the target audience. It doesn't change the Japanese target audience. The Japanese target audience isn't the same as the American target audience. The target audience in America is teens. Newsflash: we're in America. Stop being a weeb.
