Then 7 more innings needed to finish it. After being down 4-0 early, tying it back up right away thanks to a TRAVIS D'ARNAUD TRIPLE, Cespedes and Flores adding back to backs HRs, Cespedes adding a 2nd later, Mets go up 7-4, but the bullpen faltering and Marlins come back to a 8-7 lead... CONFORTO proving he NEEDS TO PLAY EVERY DAY ties it back up in the 8th... , then the bullpens being on lockdown for the next 7 innings. Mets got 3 great innings from Smoker, longest he's ever pitched.... Robles came in the game in the 15th, 4th day (er.... 4th game) in a row pitching, after being miserable the previous 3, locks down that inning, completely gassed.... Then in the 16th, D'ARNAUD WITH THE GO AHEAD HOME RUN FINALLY!!!!! And off of the pitcher the Marlins were going to start tomorrow, Adam Conley, who normally kills the Mets, and now won't be able to start tomorrow. And Robles, amazingly, stays on for the bottom half, even more gassed, and goes through the heart of the Marlins order- some extremely tough hitters in Yelich/Stanton/Bour/Osuna, with just a 1 run lead, and locks it down (and fitting Lagares makes the last out, deep on the OF track, in his first game off the DL). Fantastic , extremely memorable, historic game. d'Arnaud won the Player of the game Crown over Robles! Final line too good to ignore. 4/6 with a triple, HR, 4 RBI, 3 Runs, 1 BB, with the game winning hit.
