Zeus 04/11/17 9:09:59 PM #46: | Blighboy posted... I think it's fair to assume he was talking about warfare. This, pretty much, although it was still a stupidly worded remark on Spicer's part. Jen0125 posted... so imprisoning the jews and mass executions during the war weren't part of warfare? That's correct. They weren't combatants, they were civilians. Peterass posted... He definitely misspoke here. That being said, he retracted his statement saying that he was referring to battlefield use. Probably wishes he didn't say anything at all. He recently shouldn't be allowed to say much at all. He has an amazing ability to make any situation a lot worse. Kyuubi4269 posted... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_weapons_in_World_War_I The Geneva Protocols were in 1925. Granted, even back before WWI you had other acknowledgements regarding chemical warfare, as noted by your source. Jen0125 posted... i mean technically using chemical weapons on children isn't really part of warfare. so either way the comparison i don't think really works. i just really didn't know if there's a distinction or not. The weapons were used for warfare, the civilians were collateral damage. That's assuming that the Assad narrative is false (ie, that rebels seized and used the weapons to spur US retaliation against Syria). In the case of the Nazis, they were just executing civilians for the purpose of genocide (which, in itself, is also now considered a crime against humanity) --- (\/)(\/)|-| In Zeus We Trust: All Others Pay Cash ...
