Well it all depends on why a player is called scummy to me.

To me I feel like if there's a general feeling that someone is scummy and it's never addressed, then whatever, they were as townish as they needed to be.

If they do this really scummy thing, a concrete thing directly being suspicious due to attitude regarding a known scum, and the town just doesn't actually press them on it at all, it's more on the town.

Would say puns left a lot more clear routes for town to go after him than pjbasis or igcd did. The town chose not to even really attempt to take those routes so yeah to me it's more on town in that instance.

On the "bad town do that too" angle, just because bad town does it from time to time that doesn't mean that you should just excuse it. Bad town should also be pressured for doing those kind of things. Though I will say I think how often bad town does it is being very overstated. Literally only puns and dowolf had votes that didn't make sense in that very specific way that day. Like yes, you could point at se7en's vote as "bad" and it kinda was, but it was bad in a different way. There was no direct contradiction in his stated suspicions vs whose judgment he trusted, nor did he randomly pick a fight with someone who wasn't a lynch leader about their vote on one of the lynch leaders-- he just... randomly jumped, which nervous town will absolutely do with minutes left in the day.
