Shouldn't be anything about it that doesn't 'hold up,' IMO. The first person narration is what it is. It's also unlikely to turn into a sentimental favorite if it wasn't already, but it's possible you'll get a bit more out of it as an adult.

(Also, upon rereading that sentence, I finally understood the quadruple-negative in it, but I'm leaving my response as it. Very worthwhile read, IMO, and you probably got a lot of the value from it as a kid.)
