In that particular situation, I think Nay would have traded Ion for Tabou, but only because of Tabou. If Zill and Nero hadn't taken Tabou, I think she would have kept being indecisive until she ultimately decided to align with Ion.

But I can't prove it obviously. She was obviously getting there almost from the beginning, but it was a slow, hard process. I'd even say Ion was winning that by the time of Four Seasons/that video, but just not totally enough for her to, in her mind, abandon her chance at getting her body/self back. Putting Tabou on the scale titled it enough to barely push her to betraying.

She is acting selfishly, but at the same time I feel like your faulting her for not operating off the information we have about Ion. We know Ion is a genuinely good person but Nay (incorrectly) thought she was someone who was living the spoiled life she had before and then sees a completely unprepared and clueless Ion in the Trials which probably just infuriated her more because that's what they replaced her with? She doesn't know about Oversight or Tenmon's actual plans and she's seeing Ion through a distorted lens. She gradually realizes the truth but even then she has issues abandoning her goal of reclaiming her original body because that's been her driving purpose in life in the years since the switch and she has Fractel's death on top of that.

But I'll stop arguing Nay's case from here out.

character rankings srs buisness >_>
